Modern IT and DX

Modern IT and Digital Transformation (DX) is based on the scope of data technologies that occur after mobile in the digital spectrum

                  Mainframe – Desktop – Web – Mobile – AI – AR/VR – BC – QX

So, we are talking about anything after MOBILE.

Apple’s Ipad commercial that carries the famous line from the genderX kid “What’s a computer?” summarizes this concept of Modern IT. We are in the fastest pace of technology development. And to think that we have not yet settled on technology is crazy. But unlike previous generations where development use to take 50 years to change or in medieval times 120 years, in the Modern IT era, it takes months. There are kids borne today that will see a computer in 5 years as an archaic technology, while across the continent Africa, our kids still hope to touch this device someday.

Modern IT is based on a computer system design labeled LIQUID ARCHITECTURE, its fast, agile and adaptable to any industry, natural or artificial. We will delve into the different types of Modern IT features in subsequent posts. The message here is that at its current pace, Africa cannot catch up and may not even realize when it's past them to no avail. So why discuss it? If as a continent or as a people we were content with our way of life and development it won’t be an issue, but we are not. We are excited about foreign technology and have not really shown an organic or localized nature in our adoption, so we must prepare for these changes in modern IT. Africa ignores such changes then spend trillions to adopt after an unfortunate incident or desperate need to meet simple global expectations. Apart from South Africa and Rwanda, there’s no African country fully utilizing the potential of Modern IT or even have a national strategy for it.

Several non-African countries are already preparing for a future where robots become the job population. They are changing their educational systems especially for their kids and youths. See education today is already primitive to modern IT. Its just downloadable algorithms (the sciences) and repetitions (arts with no creativity) – that’s why you can get a degree ONLINE. So, countries are now preparing their kids for a new type of education, where they teach 0 – 17 year old; how to love, how to farm, spend time in nature, manage their money, how to program/code, so that in the era of robots they are equipped with high emotional intelligence and natural surviving skills.

Tech fans, enthusiasts, promoters in Africa must carry this message of awareness and preparedness for the tech future and modern IT. Our governments, companies and household needs to learn and undergo digital transformation for survival. There’s no need to be excited about blockchain technology or AI if halve the nation’s institutions don’t use digital services, there’s no need to be excited about modern IT if the leaders and government services of your country are in analog, paper-based systems. This is a call to tech leadership, join or contact Caasitech Digital and learn about what we are doing to curb this. We need your help, we need volunteers.
